Here We Go Again...

One would think Leftists would learn that one way to lose the next election is to disrespect voters in the last election.  Disrespect for the 2016 Brexit Referendum certainly hurt both Labour and the LibDems in last week’s UK General Election.  One would think that would be a learning experience.

One would think.

But no.  The day after the election, Leftists took to UK streets to protest . . . what? Voters? Free elections? Those sort of anti-democratic temper tantrums might have sold in the Weimar Republic, but last I looked, most British prefer democracy with their Queen, thank you.

Oh, and here’s where Leftist whining gets beyond satire. The founders of Fusion GPS, purveyors of lies used in the perpetual coup against Trump, these scumbags are blaming . . . Russia.  No I am not kidding:

But us in The Colonies had better not laugh too hard.  For Democrats and Leftists (But I repeat myself.) are already making it known ahead of time that they have no intention of respecting the 2020 elections should Trump get re-elected.  California Democrat Rep. Karen Bass, for one, says they just might impeach Trump yet again after 2020.  And Democrat House Judiciary Chairman Nadler is openly saying the 2020 election will be rigged if Trump is not impeached and removed.

Yes, Americans might collude by voting to re-elect Trump. How dare they!

All this may amuse, but it should also disturb as well.  For a major party again and again so to disrespect elections they don’t win is dangerous to a country.  And that is the situation in the US and UK today.

This Leftist impulse against democracy and against the rights of political opponents makes me fear what will happen if and when Democrats or Labour do win.  We must not let that happen at least until they transform themselves into parties that actually respect constitutional democracy even when they don’t win.

Trump Signs EO Against Campus Anti-Semitism

I’m in a slight rush this morning.  But something overlooked last week amidst the UK election and US shampeachment news is that President Trump signed an executive order directing and empowering the Department of Education to go after anti-semitism on college campuses.

I was very glad to see this.  It is much needed.  Two examples:

Harassment of Jewish and pro-Israel students has been going on for a long time. At Temple University in August 2014, SJP members called Daniel Vessal, a Camera on Campus fellow and a member of the Jewish fraternity AEPi, “kike” and “baby killer,” and punched him in the face. Vessal explained that he tried to engage SJP members in dialogue, but “people at the table were calling me a ‘baby killer’…And then this kid just rocks me in the face as hard as he can. My glasses flew off. After a two-second blur I had no clue what had happened. I couldn’t believe the kid actually hit me. When the police came over and were filing the report the kids at the table were screaming ‘You Zionist pig, you racist, that’s what you get.’” Police did not arrest the attacker.

In May 2016, Eliana Kopley, a sophomore at the University of California at Irvine (UCI), was trying to enter a screening of an Israeli documentary about the IDF called “Beneath the Helmet” when she was accosted by an angry mob screaming “Long live the Intifada!” and “F**k Israel!” The protesters prevented her from entering the building where the film was being shown and even chased her into a nearby building, where they pounded on the doors and windows while continuing to scream their slogans. Police ultimately escorted Kopley into the screening. The UCI chapter of the SJP was thrilled with this thuggery and praised the mob.

It will take more than an EO to bring justice, free speech, and sanity even back to U. S. campuses.  But Trump’s EO is an appreciated step in the right direction.

Corbyn Still One of the Comrades of Evo Morales

I am among those thankful that the Leftist supposed President of Bolivia Evo Morales resigned under pressure after a fraudulent re-election. But look who is not thankful: the dictators of Cuba and Venezuela . . . and Jeremy Corbyn.

The Glorious Leader of the Labour Party tweeted:

To see [Evo Morales] who, along with a powerful movement, has brought so much social progress forced from office by the military is appalling. I condemn this coup against the Bolivian people and stand with them for democracy, social justice and independence. #ElMundoConEvo

Never mind Morales’ human rights abuses or his election stealing.

By the way, I wonder what Pope Francis thinks of Morales’ resignation.  Will the Pope miss him?  After all they’ve met at least six times, including as recently as last year when Francis surely knew well the nature of the Morales regime.  And remember Morales gave Francis that lovely Communist cross. So maybe Francis will invite his buddy to move into the Vatican where he will be right at home with any number of Leftist abusers.

Politicize All the Things!!

I do not know if I've noted it on this blog, but the Left has a tendency to try to politicize everything.  Some even demand everything be politicized.  This is part of their totalitarian streak.

Yes, yes, there are non-Leftist extremists that can be that way, too.  But it is much more frequent from the Left.

This morning, I see an example both annoying and amusing from an alumni group I am in.  One alum, who constantly makes political posts from the Left, replied to an admin’s very polite insistence that the alum group was not the place for political posts with the following:

With all due respect to you, there are no spaces that are inappropriate for politics. Doing politics is an ethical demand which must be carried to ALL spaces and the idea that there are or should be spaces in which politics are inappropriate is complicity with fascism.

It is precisely in spaces *like this* where doing politics is most important.

He followed it up with this:

Spaces where people feel uneasy about politics are the spaces in which doing politics is most important.

We dont have time to play around any more. The fascists are in power and the jet stream is collapsing. Theres no time for polite company. [Punctuation and logic his.]

Well there you go.  If you want a little space or time apart from politics, you are complicit with fascism.

But it seems to me that it is rather “fascist” and even totalitarian to insist all spaces be politicized.  But that’s just me.

And isn’t it funny that many of the same people, who insist you listen to them at all times and in all places, shout down and even assault those that dare disagree with them.

So I suspect I am right that Leftist attempts to politicize all the things come from a totalitarian streak.

Leftists WANT Violence. Don’t Play Into Their Hands.

Two events prompt this post.  One is the report of a plot against Antifa and a major news organization and perhaps against a prominent Democrat politician as well.  The other is the Climate Strike people blocking traffic and creating gridlock in Washington D. C.

(By the way, Greg Gutfeld went yard on them yesterday at the opening of The Five.  And isn’t creating gridlock pollution an odd way of combating pollution?)

Yes, these two events seem very unrelated.  But what they have in common is the Hard Left’s desire for violence, namely a violent reaction to their provocations.  Provoking and/or making up violent reactions is one of the oldest Leftist tricks in the book. I saw it myself during my college days. We saw it in Charlottesville where Antifa perpetrated and provoked violence.  But, thanks to a compliant fake news media and the cowardly fool who drove his car into a crowd, all we hear about in hindsight is the violence from the right at Charlottesville.

Considering the provocations from the Left, I find it remarkable that there have been so fewinstances of violence from the Right.  The contrast with Antifa and Black Lives Matter is stark.  But when there is one, such as the apparent plot mentioned above, it plays into the Left’s narrative.  Such violence and attempts at violence are not only wrong; they are foolish.

Now I am not a pacifist.  There are times when violence in defense of oneself and one’s rights is justified.  See the American Revolution.  But now is not such a time. 

So what does blocking traffic have to do with this?  At first glance, about all blocking traffic accomplishes is getting attention.  But what awful attention!  My guess is that this is why Black Lives Matter stopped blocking traffic.  That tactic turned the majority of this country against them and strongly and rightly so.

But surely Leftists know how much traffic roadblocks antagonize people.  And that is intended. The hard Left hopes someone will have had enough and violently react with their pick-up, preferably with a Trump sticker.  The hard Left wants a violent reaction; they want to become “victims” for propaganda purposes.  Yes, most of those blocking traffic do not want to be run over.  Such are foolish fodder for the Left’s purposes.

Again, the Left wants violence and often tries to provoke a violent reaction to their outrages.  So again I strongly advise – do not play into their hands.  The Left and their predations must be opposed, but they must be opposed non-violently.  Otherwise, the Left wins.

Those right-of-center have a remarkable record of non-violence in the U. S.  But it is probably good for all of us to be reminded to stick to non-violent opposition.

San Francisco Declares the NRA a “Domestic Terrorist Organization” (And you may be next.)

Yes, it is easy to laugh it off as isolated Left Coast looniness. But I’m not laughing.  For San Francisco declaring the NRA to be a “domestic terrorist organization” should not be seen in isolation.  It confirms and demonstrates disturbing traits of the Left in the United States.

The resolution typifies the predatory hatred of the Left towards real Americans.  What is more American than a peaceful voluntary organization of millions of Americans dedicated to defending the 2^ndAmendment of the Constitution?  But San Francisco smears the NRA as domestic terrorists.  Meanwhile SF is a sanctuary city, not to law abiding citizens and Constitutional freedoms, but to illegals, including criminals such as the killer of Kate Steinle.

Oh, but they aren’t illegals; they are “undocumented immigrants.” And they aren’t criminals; they are “justice-involved persons” in San Francisco.  For the Left puts illegals and criminals above peaceful law-abiding American citizens.

And the Left has that totalitarian trait of abusing language to conceal and destroy.  Illegals and criminals are the natural allies of the Democrat Party and of the Left, so their evil is disguised, and they are protected clients.  On the other hand, real Americans who give a damn about the Constitution and its freedoms are the enemies of the Left. So just as Communist China smears Hong Kong demonstrators are terrorists, San Francisco smears the NRA as a “domestic terrorist organization.”

Again this is how totalitarians act.  It is not to be written off as irrelevant nuttiness. The Speaker of the House is a Congresswoman from San Francisco.  The Left demonstrates these traits wherever they are found in the United States.  And if we do not defeat the Left again and again, those of us who care about Constitutional freedoms will also be smeared, vilified, and targeted for banishment and worse.

To think this is just a San Francisco thing is to repeat the sadly mistaken false comfort many gave themselves before they were the victims of totalitarians in the 20^th Century – “It will never happen here.”

When “White Supremacy” Isn’t What You Think It Is II: Smearing Pro-Lifers

Earlier I noted that under Critical Race Theory and related Leftist ideologies, just about anything can make you a White Supremacist or in league with White Supremacy.  Heck, trying to stay out of politics puts you in the “Pyramid of White Supremacy”.  There’s no escape!

So it should not surprise – although it is profoundly illogical – that being pro-life makes you a target for those wishing to use “White Supremacy” to smear political opponents.  Yes, the Left is actually trying to link the pro-life movement with White Supremacy.  Never mind that real White Supremacists, such as Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger, want non-Whites to abort their children.

But pro-lifers instead defend children of all colors . . . which somehow gets twisted into “White Supremacy”, never mind the illogic.  A smear from Amanda Marcotte is especially blatant: “Not an exaggeration to say conservatives believe white women should be forced to breed in order to maintain white supremacy.”

So yes, trying to save children of all colors puts you in league with “White Supremacy”.  Just letting you know.

Trump is Right – The Squad and Their Ilk Should Go

Although President Trump’s tweets are not all wisely worded (And maybe this post isn’t either, but I’ve had enough.), he is right to say that those who hate America and push Anti-American values have no place in Congress and would do well to consider getting out of the country. “America – love it or leave it” is not racist but is instead anger at those who take advantage of our freedoms to attack our freedoms.  This is anger I share regardless of the skin color of those who so attack us and our freedoms.

The Gang of Four, recently dubbed “The Squad,” are among these.  Take Rep. Ayanna Pressley . . . please.  She is the racist, having recently said in a prominent speech at Netroots Nation:

Because if you're going to come to this table, all of you who have aspirations of running for office. If you’re not prepared to come to that table and represent that voice, don’t come, because we don't need any more brown faces that don't want to be a brown voice. We don’t need black faces that don't want to be a black voice. We don't need Muslims that don’t want to be a Muslim voice. We don’t need queers that don't want to be a queer voice. 

So if you are in these demographics you must toe the Leftist line, or you’re not a good Black, or a good Hispanic, etc. THAT is racism and bigotry.

And then yesterday she pointedly refused to call Trump the President, instead calling him “the occupant of the White House.”  She thereby disrespects our elections and the Americans who elected Trump.  THAT is not just un-American, but anti-American.

(Have I mentioned Leftists only respect elections they win? Yes I have.)

Or take Rep. Ilhan Omar – heck, deport her as there is good reason to suspect she became became a citizen via a fake marriage, but anyway….  Yesterday, she not only repeated the lie that illegals under detention drink out of toilets, she not only repeated the lie that Trump colluded with foreign governments to rig the election among other lies, she refused to denounce Al-Qaeda.  That after earlier refusing to decry the terrorist Antifa attack on an ICE facility. Crap, that anti-semite refuses even to denounce murderous terrorism, and she and her backers bitch about Trump’s tweets??

If you give such noxious views and statements a pass because you agree with them, feel free to give that a good rethink or to get the heck of America.  You ARE un-American.  And there is a lot of the rest of the world to choose from.  If you give such noxious views and statements a pass because they come from “women of color,” YOU are racist, period.

Trump is right.  Those who hold the views of The Democrat Squad should consider improving America . . . by getting out.

A Reminder: European Anti-Semitism is Not Just a Nazi Trait

Alan Dershowitz provides a timely reminder that Anti-Semitism in Europe is not just a trait of the Nazis.  As we rightly look back on D-Day and World War 2, we must be aware of hoary myths, such as that Europeans valiantly resisted Hitler’s predations on Jews.  Well, some did, however . . . .

Why have we seen such an increase in anti-Semitism and irrationally virulent anti-Zionism in western Europe?

To answer these questions, a myth must first be exposed. That myth is the one perpetrated by the French, the Dutch, the Norwegians, the Swiss, the Belgians, the Austrians, and many other western Europeans: namely that the Holocaust was solely the work of German Nazis aided perhaps by some Polish, Ukrainian, Latvian, Lithuanian, and Estonian collaborators.

False.

The Holocaust was perpetrated by Europeans: by Nazi sympathizers and collaborators among the French, Dutch, Norwegians, Swiss, Belgians, Austrians and other Europeans, both Western and Eastern.

If the French government had not deported to the death camps more Jews than their German occupiers asked for; if so many Dutch and Belgian citizens and government officials had not cooperated in the roundup of Jews; if so many Norwegians had not supported Quisling; if Swiss government officials and bankers had not exploited Jews; if Austria had not been more Nazi than the Nazis, the Holocaust would not have had so many Jewish victims.

Dershowitz looks at this and earlier history and notes that the revival of European Anti-Semitism should not surprise. And he adds (although he is Left of Center himself) that it is far from just a right wing trait, but frequently a Leftist one as well.

"Oh no," we hear from European apologists. "This is different. We don't hate the Jews. We only hate their nation-state. Moreover, the Nazis were right-wing. We're left-wing, so we can't be anti-Semites."

Nonsense.

The hard left has a history of anti-Semitism as deep and enduring as the hard right. The line from Voltaire to Karl Marx, to Lavrentiy Beria, to Robert Faurisson, to today's hard-left Israel-bashers is as straight as the line from Wilhelm Marr to the persecutors of Alfred Dreyfus to Hitler.

The Jews of Europe have always been crushed between the Black and the Red – victims of extremism whether it be the ultra-nationalism of Khmelnitsky to the ultra-anti-Semitism of Stalin.

Dershowitz omits the role that Muslim migration has had in increasing Anti-Semitism in Europe.  But even if the gates had not been opened to Muslim mass migration, Leftist Anti-Semitism would still be a problem in Europe. 

Look at Jeremy Corbyn and his Labour Party. That old Leftist is not Muslim, but Labour has become more openly Anti-Semitic under him.

And that includes the Labour candidate in the Peterborough by-election today.  As much as she is now tries to hide it, Lisa Forbes has a documented history of Anti-Semitism.  And British Jewish organizations are speaking out about it:

“The revelation that Labour’s Peterborough candidate Lisa Forbes liked a racist Facebook post accusing Theresa May of having a “Zionist Slave Masters agenda” as recently as April – and previously welcomed a post indulging the bizarre conspiracy theory that Mossad and the CIA are behind Daesh – brings in to question her suitability for public office.

Ms Forbes has now apologised, saying she had not seen these words, but this stretches the limits of credulity, especially given the high profile problems in Labour and the previous antisemitism scandals in Peterborough Labour circles, such as Alan Bull and last November’s resignation of two senior councillors, who said they had been pressured against when trying to complain about antisemitism.

Ms Forbes also says she will seek antisemitism training. This is somewhat ironic given her previous rejection of the IHRA definition of antisemitism.

We are fed up hearing that Labour opposes antisemitism while repeatedly hearing excuses that its members accidentally missed the racism that was staring them in the face.

Unless Labour disowns Lisa Forbes as a candidate, it will only confirm the Party’s shameful descent into the racist mess for which they are now being investigated by the EHRC.”

So when someone tries to feed you the “nonsense” that Anti-Semitism and racism in Europe and elsewhere are traits of the Right, not of the Left . . . well, I will leave it up to you what to say.  But do not fall for such dangerous myths.

Democrats’ Planned Resolution Against Antisemitism is a Sham.

When Speaker Nancy Pelosi put Freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar on the Foreign Relations Committee, it was already well known and documented that the Congresswoman from Mogadishu was an antisemite in line with her Islamist tendencies.  With that committee being so important and privy to classified information, putting Omar on it was reckless and dangerous at the very least.

So – surprise! or not – Omar has doubled down on her antisemitism.  So to cover their rears, the Democrat House leadership is preparing a resolution condemning antisemitism.  But unless Omar is removed from the Foreign Relations Committee, and there is little indication she will be, the resolution is a sham.  Not to mention that it might not even mention Omar by name.

House Democrat leaders don’t care about the antisemitism in their midst.  Otherwise Omar would not be on the Foreign Relations Committee in the first place.  They are just trying to appease both their Jewish and Muslim supporters along with Leftists, who are chock full of antisemites.  The Left would not take effective real action against Omar well.

I hope Jewish Americans along with all decent Americans won’t let them get away with this sham.

March for Life Confrontation a Classic Leftist Tactic

Once full videos came out of the confrontation between Leftists and Catholic High School students at the March for Life, it became clear to me that what we have here is not nasty racism from a bunch of crackers (although there was really vile racism from the Leftists).  Instead, we have a textbook example of a classic totalitarian Leftist tactic – create a confrontation then play the victim for the cameras and for deceptively edited videos.

Oh, and the Native American who walked up to a student and banged his drum in his face has a history of playing the victim.

Even if the target does not respond or responds peacefully or even passively, the “victim” and Leftist backers carry on as if an outrage has occurred. I’ve seen this tactic first hand.  And here is a famous and enjoyable example [language warning with insane screaming].

Now the gentleman in the above example may not have acted perfectly; likewise for some of the Catholic high school students (They’re TEENAGERS for goodness sake!) And, of course, totalitarian Leftists exaggerate, distort and lie about any such imperfections for their political ends.

I will say the student who passively stood his ground and smiled while the drum was in his face is a hero in my book. 

I was going to write more on this when I found William Jacobson already has with videos and personal examples no less.  So read, watch, learn.  What happened at the March for Life is a frequent way totalitarians target their opponents.

A Correlation Between Politics and Morality?

I remember, decades ago, a Christian Right group put out an election guide with the stands of various candidates. It was labeled a “Morality Scorecard” or the like.  I apologize that I cannot remember more details nor find them via internet search.  (Those search engines can be close to useless when it comes to obscure details of history.)  If anyone remembers or finds more, feel free to comment.  I also apologize and warn that I will be speaking in generalities here.

With those caveats, what I do remember is that the group in question was excoriated for implying that one’s votes and political stands are a good measure of morality.  How dare they say politicians who vote wrong somehow are immoral! How dare they say that there is a correlation between one’s politics and one’s morality!

Well, although the group may have been a bit crude in the way they stated there is such a correlation, recent events seem to be proving them right in more ways than one.  It is hard to miss that the recent sexual harassment scandals blowing up here in the U. S. overwhelmingly involve Democrats - Harvey Weinstein, Al Franken, John Conyers, Al Green, etc.

I can hear the reflex rebuttals now.  “What about Republicans like Roy Moore?”  If there were as many Republicans who mistreated women so blatantly, the Democrat News Media would surely be trotting them out and fast.  As for Roy Moore, the allegations against him smell increasingly like a pre-election dirty trick that is getting more debunked by the day.  But trust me, I think a lot of Republicans are scum, too.

And, to anticipate another question, the correlation I see is general not specific.  In other words, there are Leftist Democrats who are otherwise good people, and there are conservative Republican who are stinkers.  Heck, I once engaged in political combat against a few of them.

But to think there is no correlation between morality in public life and morality in private life is fantasy.  Someone who attacks freedom of speech, the right to life, basic property rights, the Constitutional rule of law, the right to defend oneself, traditional Christian values etc., etc. is probably going to be a sticker in private as well.

And now that stink is suddenly getting out and becoming public as well.

Apple Feeds Hate

Combating hate is a laudable goal.  Although I will say combating the nutcases of the KKK and neo-Nazis while giving the far more dangerous Antifa and BLM a pass is like going after piss ants in your yard while ignoring skunks living under your house. (I’ve experienced that.  It was not pleasant.)

But the way to combat hate is not to feed hate.  Yet that is exactly what Apple and its CEO Tim Cook have done in contributing to the Southern Poverty Law Center.  For SPLC is itself a hate group, using that old trick of lumping traditional conservatives, such as the Alliance Defending Freedom and even David Barton, for goodness’ sake, in with Nazis, the KKK and the like.

Apple’s contribution perpetuates a double standard that has become even more rampant in recent days – hate from the “Right” is horrible; hate from the Left is not an issue or even praiseworthy, and if you condemn hate from both sides, you’re practically a Nazi.  And that double standard, too, feeds hate.

Post-Charlottesville, The Double Standard Continues

After the awful events in Charlottesville, there has been an odd, but familiar phenomenon.  There are the rightful denunciations of the Nazis, KKK, etc.  But if someone even asks the denouncers if they have ever also denounced Antifa and Black Lives Matters, two groups who also have demonstrated racism and political violence, then even that question gets denounced.  Those who denounce both the Nazi types and Antifa and BLM, and who denounce double standards also get very similar treatment.  I’ve seen this sorry exercise even on the Facebook group page of the Anglican Church of North America, which is shameful.

This is an in-your-face example of a big double standard that has poisoned politics and the study of history since World War 2.  While the atrocities of the “Right”* are emphasized, the atrocities of the Left are downplayed or ignored, even if those atrocities are of a much greater scale.  The History Channel once was dubbed the Hitler Channel because of the frequency of its emphasis on Nazism and its atrocities. And certainly we should “never forget.”  But how often does one see documentaries of the atrocities under Lenin and Stalin, who killed millions more than Hitler?

Of course, there is much more to the study of history than the History Channel – thank God – but the phenomenon can be found across academia as well.  And when someone tries to provide some balance and focus on Communist evil, they often get grief for it.  The controversy that surrounded the publication of the Black Book of Communism is one example.

I detest this double standard, which only enables the Leftist New Totalitarians, who are a much greater danger than the KKK, neo-Nazis, and other loons.  If someone has been silent for over a year as Antifa has violently attacked peaceful demonstrators, Trump supporters, free speech, even those who simply wanted to hear a speaker, then his/her display of indignation over white supremacist violence is worth very little to me.

And, yes I will say it, President Trump was right to denounce violence from both sides.  And he was courageous to do so in the face of those who hate truth-telling about the Left.

By the way, these kind of double standards just feed hate.  Denouncing rightist hate while being silent about or even praising Leftist hate throws gasoline on hate.  The double standards must stop.  The political violence from both sides must be denounced and stopped.

So Bernie Sanders Thinks Being an Orthodox Christian Is Not Okay

There has been a *cough* remarkable exchange between Senator Bernie Sanders, Socialist from Vermont, and Deputy White House Budget Director nominee Russell Vought.

Sanders: Let me get to this issue that has bothered me and bothered many other people. And that is in the piece that I referred to that you wrote for the publication called Resurgent. You wrote, “Muslims do not simply have a deficient theology. They do not know God because they have rejected Jesus Christ, His Son, and they stand condemned.” Do you believe that that statement is Islamophobic?

Vought: Absolutely not, Senator. I’m a Christian, and I believe in a Christian set of principles based on my faith. That post, as I stated in the questionnaire to this committee, was to defend my alma mater, Wheaton College, a Christian school that has a statement of faith that includes the centrality of Jesus Christ for salvation, and . . .

Sanders: I apologize. Forgive me, we just don’t have a lot of time. Do you believe people in the Muslim religion stand condemned? Is that your view?

Vought: Again, Senator, I’m a Christian, and I wrote that piece in accordance with the statement of faith at Wheaton College:

Sanders: I understand that. I don’t know how many Muslims there are in America. Maybe a couple million. Are you suggesting that all those people stand condemned? What about Jews? Do they stand condemned too? Vought: Senator, I’m a Christian . . .

Sanders: I understand you are a Christian! But this country are made of people who are not just — I understand that Christianity is the majority religion, but there are other people of different religions in this country and around the world. In your judgment, do you think that people who are not Christians are going to be condemned?

Vought: Thank you for probing on that question. As a Christian, I believe that all individuals are made in the image of God and are worthy of dignity and respect regardless of their religious beliefs. I believe that as a Christian that’s how I should treat all individuals . . .

Sanders: You think your statement that you put into that publication, they do not know God because they rejected Jesus Christ, His Son, and they stand condemned, do you think that’s respectful of other religions?

Vought: Senator, I wrote a post based on being a Christian and attending a Christian school that has a statement of faith that speaks clearly in regard to the centrality of Jesus Christ in salvation.

Sanders: I would simply say, Mr. Chairman, that this nominee is really not someone who this country is supposed to be about.

So if one believes Jesus when he said, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me,” that is just not acceptable to Bernie.
